Igniting a new wave of support for Nigerian entrepreneurs, The Nest Innovation Park has teamed up with Germany’s UnternehmerTUM, one of Europe’s top startup hubs, in a partnership designed to uplift Nigerian startups and SMEs. The collaboration falls under the “Africa Meets Bavaria” initiative, a two-year program funded by the Bavarian State Chancellery. Its mission: to build bridges between Africa’s innovation ecosystems and Bavaria’s thriving tech landscape.
At the heart of the initiative is a shared goal, to tackle global challenges like climate change, sustainability, and mobility through locally developed solutions. For Nigerian entrepreneurs, this partnership is a golden opportunity to gain access to resources, mentorship, and international exposure; essentials that are often out of reach for many promising startups.

The Nest Innovation Park is one of several African hubs participating in the initiative, alongside MEST Africa in Ghana, iHub Nairobi in Kenya, and Impact Hub Kigali in Rwanda. Together with UnternehmerTUM, these organizations are laying the foundation for a new generation of African-led innovation, encouraging cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Speaking on the partnership, Oluwajoba Oloba, Co-founder of The Nest Innovation Park, said, “Nigeria is full of creative and determined entrepreneurs, but many don’t have access to the networks, funding, and infrastructure that can help turn their ideas into scalable businesses. This partnership aims to change that.”
Through structured training, business incubation, and exposure to global best practices, Nigerian founders will be better equipped to build ventures that are both locally impactful and globally competitive. The collaboration will also open new doors for German businesses looking to explore Africa’s vibrant and fast-growing markets.
The partnership aligns with Nigeria’s ongoing digital transformation and supports the goals of the Nigeria Startup Act, which seeks to foster a more inclusive and growth-driven environment for tech-based businesses. Importantly, the initiative will also promote collaboration between Nigerian university innovation labs and UnternehmerTUM, giving students and researchers a platform to scale their ideas.
