In a Smartpreneur live session with Jumoke Dada, Founder and CEO of Taeillo, we got to understand that SMEs and startups have to seek ways to stand out and at the same time, add value to customers.
Jumoke started her furniture business in 2016. She entered an industry which already had big players but thought there was a gap to fill, she wanted African culture to be showcased in her furniture designs and pieces. Not only that, Jumoke’s Taeillo brand infused technology to make it very easy for Africans to shop for furniture online, using AR/VR to ensure delightful shopping experiences.
Taeillo makes use of the on-demand production model in making Afro Urban ready-made pieces and reducing waste to near zero.
As an entrepreneur, you need to ask yourself what it is you can offer and how you want to go about offering it. Do your research, know what similar businesses are doing and how you can make it better, that way, customers would come knocking.
