The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) has successfully conducted a capacity training program, empowering over 1,000 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the North East and North West regions of the country.

Spanning across six states including Gombe, Maiduguri, Adamawa, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kebbi, the training aimed to enhance the business optimization and development skills of these MSMEs, thereby strengthening their overall capabilities.

Led by facilitators from Cjonyx Consulting, the one-day training program was held separately in each location. The primary objective of the training at each venue was to assist business owners in improving their operations and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to access credit from DBN. This access to financing would enable increased efficiency, as well as support further expansion of their businesses.

Dr. Tony Okpanachi, the Managing Director of DBN, expressed the bank’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the capacity of MSMEs in Nigeria. By empowering these enterprises, they can continue to make substantial contributions to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Through this initiative, DBN demonstrates its dedication to fostering growth and development within the MSME sector, ultimately fueling economic progress in Nigeria.
