MTN Foundation just launched Phase 6 of its ICT & Business Skills Training initiative, aiming to empower young Nigerian entrepreneurs with both education and resources. More importantly, it offers ₦90 million in equipment grants to standout participants.

First, this year’s cohort targets entrepreneurs aged 18–35 operating small businesses (under two years old) across six states, which are: Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, and Yobe.
Next, the training spans five weeks online, and it features top-tier masterclasses in cutting-edge business skills. In partnership with Microsoft, trainees will explore entrepreneurship in the digital age, ICT-driven business success, and generative AI. Meanwhile, Meta will guide them through digital branding and effective online growth using its Meta Boost for Small Business platform.

Moreover, the five-week course includes data support for all participants to ensure uninterrupted learning. Then, the top 300 participants will receive a share of the ₦90 million equipment grants, allowing them to invest directly in growing their ventures.
Since its launch in 2018, MTN Foundation has executed five successful phases across 16 states, including Abia, Lagos, Rivers, Kano, and many others. To date, 4,036 young entrepreneurs have graduated from the programme.
Finally, this fresh phase underscores MTN Foundation’s commitment to bridging training with tangible support. By combining world-class digital education with financial backing, the initiative equips entrepreneurs to navigate today’s evolving economy and build sustainable businesses.
