Dangote and the Abuja Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) are collaborating on the 2025 Abuja International Trade Fair to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and advance trade opportunities. This fair, backed by major players, promises to spotlight sustainable business, intra‑African trade, and local innovation.

Elevating Local SMEs & Sustainable Trade with ACCI ‑ Dangote Trade Fair

The Trade Fair will run for 12 days starting September 25 in Abuja. During this period, Dangote will present its diverse product lines, while ACCI organizes platforms for businesses to showcase made‑in‑Nigeria goods and eco‑friendly technologies. Moreover, the theme “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives & Taxation” highlights how today’s markets reward ethical production and responsible consumption.

Entrepreneurs will benefit from both exposure and networking. In addition, participants can pitch to distributors, connect with foreign buyers, and gain insights into policy incentives. As a result, SMEs that adopt sustainable models may enjoy higher visibility and stronger competitive advantage.

What This ACCI ‑ Dangote Collaboration Means for SMEs

Young founders and women‑led businesses, especially, stand to gain. For example, they can use the fair to test their products, receive feedback, and enhance packaging or branding. Furthermore, the presence of international delegates presents export opportunities not easily found elsewhere.

Dangote’s involvement elevates the fair’s impact. Because of its scale and reputation, this partnership sends a message: local content and sustainable practices matter now more than ever. Therefore, businesses that prepare early, refining their value propositions and building strong brand stories, will benefit most.

Looking Ahead & Smartpreneur Tips

By supporting sustainability, incentives, and taxation, the Trade Fair can help shift how SMEs operate. Meanwhile, Lagos entrepreneurs should watch for follow‑on events, workshops, or incubation chances tied to the fair. These can help convert ideas into scale.

Smartpreneurs reading this should act now: start registering, refining products, and planning pitches. Also, consider how your business can align with themes of sustainability. This alignment will make your application stronger and your offerings more appealing.

Ultimately, the ACCI‑Dangote Trade Fair isn’t just an event, it’s an opportunity to position yourself for growth. With the right preparation, your business can ride this wave of change and scale successfully in Nigeria and beyond.
