I Almost Got Killed Because Of An Irresistible Job Offer

I was supposed to have a wedding makeover job at Ikorodu. If you know about makeup you know that wedding offers are big deals. So, I took it and wasn’t planning to miss it for anything.

On the day of the makeover, my husband kept telling me that he had woken up because he had a strange feeling about the job and didn’t want me to go anymore. Of course I didn’t listen to him.

Why should I ? I really wasn’t seeing any reason why and I was not going to turn down the offer. He asked me to send someone else but I refused as well. Imagine me killing the joy of a bride by not showing up for her wedding makeup, nope.

Let me give you a detailed summary on how the conversation went and how I left the house:

“This person is my friend and I promised her. Just imagine if I disappoint” I said.

“You can send someone else” He insisted but I  was having none of it. So I went to the bathroom, came out and saw him praying in the Spirit.

I ignored him and dressed up. As I was stepping out of the room with my box, he pulled me close, laid hands on me and prayed in tongues.

It was quite a distance from the Ayobo axis to Ikorodu hence timing was key.

“Bros, I don enter the bus from Oshodi Wey de go Ikorodu Garage.

“The bus stopped at every point to pick passengers but it was when we got to Majidun that a man entered and sat beside me. He kept trying to get my attention but I ignored him since he was speaking Yoruba”.

We were approaching the garage hence the bus was scanty yet the man Persisted in talking to me. We had gotten to the garage when all of a sudden he said some words, tapped me on the shoulder and said “Tele mi”, which means “Follow me”.

It felt like I lost control of my body and I came down from the bus to follow him.

I can’t explain it. However, it felt like a force kept me in a place. My legs were heavy and I couldn’t move.

The man stood and was beckoning to me still saying some incantations. People noticed and gathered and asked me what was wrong but to my surprise I realized I couldn’t talk!

I just kept pointing but when people looked at the direction I was pointing to, they couldn’t pick who I was pointing at.

I pulled out my phone to call my husband but I couldn’t speak so a lady took it and explained to him. My husband told the woman to put the phone in my ears and he said “In the name of Jesus, I break that enchantment and declare your body fit for use”.

Immediately, I noticed my tongue could move and I spoke some words and began speaking rapidly. Make-up, I won’t do again. Wedding, I won’t go again.

Since that day, I have learnt to listen and obey even when I don’t understand.

Thank God for my husband but even more importantly, I need to learn to be more sensitive and you should too. Money isn’t everything. I would have died cheaply for a few thousands. Don’t ignore your instincts. If you’re not sitting well with the offer, then decline.
