Hello SmartPreneur! It’s great to have you back on another edition of Lessons from the Market Place. This week, we had our lessons from Emmanuel James, an IT/Computer training expert in Ikeja, Lagos.

  1. Self-esteem: One thing that has kept me going is I avoid competing with anybody. I have a daily business plan and I try to revise it daily to stay on track while doing business my own way.
  2. Leverage on Customer Recommendation: I try as much as possible to treat customers, who come for one service or the other, right; I get friendly with them in order to use them as my billboards so that wherever they go, they can recommend my business, this is how I expand my business to a wider reach.

As a small business, you need to get creative in utilizing the bit you have to grow. Expanding your business is largely dependent on how you leverage available resources.
