First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has empowered over 2,000 women-owned Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) through its initiative known as SheVentures. This was launched last year, March 2019. SheVentures is an empowerment initiative by FCMB that is rooted in mentoring, capacity building and zero interest loans ranging from N500, 000 to N5million.  The zero interest rate is for a period of three months. All these are put in place to support women doing business.

At an event that was recently held in Lagos to celebrate the one-year anniversary of SheVentures, the Chief Executive Officer, FCMB Group Plc, Ladi Balogun said: “we are not just focused on the basic banking procedures when it comes to our customers, but also fully committed to delivering services and offerings that ensure that they derive good returns from their relationship with us”

SheVentures is another step in the right direction to cater for women who are striving to be the best they can when it comes to their businesses.
