A recent survey reveals that there is a disproportionate impact of the pandemic on women entrepreneurs around the world, with 87 percent reporting that they have been negatively affected.

While countries across the globe are grappling with recovery efforts ranging from vaccine creation to other socio-economic interventions necessary for survival, attention needs to be given to women entrepreneurs during this vulnerable period.

In Africa, efforts are underway as countries chart the path of post-Covid-19 recovery across the continent. One of such initiatives is Nigeria’s All Women Accelerator, She Works Here Women-Owned Businesses (SWOB) grant.
