Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has made it possible for you to register your company and business name online.

It is important to check whether your proposed business name has already been registered by another individual. This can be done through a search on the CAC’s website before making any reservation.

RELATED: Why Registering your Business is Important!

Company registration online with CAC through its online platform now involves simple steps that should be adhered to get the desired results.

According to the CAC, the following steps are all you need to register your business name or company online:

  1. Visit CAC to check for the availability of your preferred business or company name and reserve it if it’s not yet taken.
  2. Complete a pre-registration form and upload the relevant registration documents using the Company Registration Portal.
  3. Pay the required filing fee. See the schedule of fees here

Now you can easily register your business or company name.
